Advanced 3D Modeling and Digital Twins
Your Instructor
Your instructor for this course is Ted Strazimiri, a leading expert in 3D modeling, digital twins, and drone-based reality capture with nearly a decade of hands-on experience.
Ted has spent the last eight years as a drone service provider, working on a wide range of projects across surveying, construction, infrastructure, and asset management. He’s captured and processed data from both LiDAR and photogrammetry workflows, building everything from bridge models and outdoor topography to indoor 3D reconstructions. His real-world experience means he understands not just how to fly and capture data—but how to ensure that what you collect in the field leads to successful results in post-processing.
Ted was also an adjunct professor at Norton Wolf School of Aerospace and Aviation Technology in Ontario, Canada, where he taught advanced courses on 3D reconstruction, LiDAR workflows, and drone-based image capture. He has helped shape the next generation of drone professionals through classroom instruction, labs, and industry-based learning.
In addition to teaching and field work, Ted consults with drone, sensor, and camera manufacturers, helping them better understand the real-world challenges pilots face in the field—so the tools they build actually work for professionals like you.
Ted is also a Flight Reviewer for Transport Canada, the agency that oversees commercial drone operations in Canada, which gives him deep insight into both safe flight practices and regulatory compliance.
